Tour Overview
This is one of our recommended itineraries. Lake Natron is desolate and hauntingly beautiful area. You won’t forget the views that you will see here in Natron. The way to Serengeti from Lake Natron is an adventurous endless road. You will also enjoy famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro view and wildlife. The best season of this itinerary is from October – January to see thousands of flamingos at Lake Natron! However the best season of flamingos are depending on rain.
Full Itinerary
Depart Arusha around 8 am and drive to Lake Natron, its about 4.5 hours. Before Mto wa Mbu we turn to right side and road changed to rough road. You see great rift valley and beautiful Ol Donyo Lengai which means Mountain of God in Masai language on the way. After arrive at a lodge check in and have lunch. After lunch walking to water falls along the Engaresero river gorges with a Masai guide. It about 1 hour trip to the main water fall. When you reach the one you jump in the water! Enjoy and feel great nature. We will then go back to the lodge where we will have dinner and stay over night.
After breakfast depart the lodge for Lake Natron by walk with a Masai guide. You will pass some Masai villages and see their daily life. During walk, you will meet local people, greet and talk with them. It would be one of the memorable experiences in the trip. You will see thousands of flamingos at Lake Natron in the best season around October to January however it depends on rain of each year. We will go back to the lodge by walk and have lunch. Then time to relax at the lodge in throughout the afternoon.
Today is an adventurous day! After breakfast, we will leave Natron to Serengeti Lobo. First we will drive along with Lake Natron and climb up the Great Rift Valley and go forward on the endless road. You will see a few villages and cars on the way. We will reach Kleins gate of Serengeti after about 5 hours drive. We will have lunch at the gate and do game driver at Lobo area. We will go to the lodge, have dinner and over night.
Before sunrise around 6 am we leave the lodge for early morning game drive. Sunrise and sunset are good times to see wildlife, as this is when they are most active. You enjoy beautiful sunrise at endless plains of the Serengeti and a game drive. We go back to the lodge around 8 or 9 am and to have breakfast. You have choices to go to a full day game drive with lunch boxes after breakfast or stay the lodge and relax after lunch then go for a evening game drive around 3 pm. We hope to find wildlife such as Lions, Hyenas, Leopards, Cheetahs etc and also other members of the BIG 5. We come back to the lodge around 6 pm for dinner.
We check out of the hotel after breakfast and leave with our lunch. We do a morning game drive in the plains of the Serengeti, we have good chance to spot some wildlife just getting up and starting to do their daily business! We do a game drive as we are heading to the Naabi Hill gate. We have lunch at the gate and then start to head to Ngorongoro. Dinner and over night at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

To visit the Olduvai gorge museum at an extra cost of US$ 17 per person.
We have an early morning breakfast and then we check out of the lodge and drive around the crater rim then descend down about 650m to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of the 8th wonder of the world. We do a game drive in the crater floor, here we have chances to complete our BIG 5. The rare black rhino, here is the only place to see them and admire this rare specie of the BIG 5. Plenty of animals to see, big herds of wildebeest and zebras, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, gazelles antelopes, flamingos at the lake. We have lunch at the picnic site in the crater and after lunch we ascend from the crater and start to head back to Arusha. We arrive in Arusha at around 5 or 6 pm
