2 Days Tarangire & Ngorongoro

Tour Overview

You will have two exciting days in Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will see lots of elephants along Tarangire River in the dry season, from July to November in Tarangire National Park. In the Ngorongoro Crater, there are over 25,000 large animals that you will so you will see alot of wildlife in one day. This two days safari trip is good for if you are limited in time or budget.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 Arusha - Tarangire

Depart early in the morning from Arusha with lunch boxes. Drive to Tarangire National Park (around 110 km and takes 2 hours from Arusha). Full day game drive and lunch in the park. The park is famous of Baobab trees and elephants. The park is perfect for bird watching as the park has over 300 species of birds. We head towards the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro - Arusha

After breakfast early in the morning depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with our lunch boxes. Stop at the view point to have a look at the crater view then we drive around the rim of the crater till we descend about 650m (2000ft) to the crater floor. We explore the crater which is home to over 25,000 animals including elephants, lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, buffaloes, and the rare black rhinos. Here is the only place we have a good chance to see black rhinos. We will have lunch in the crater then later we drive to Arusha, arriving around 5 or 6 pm.
